This August the Consumer Confidence Index noted the biggest drop in over a year – of 4.2 points down to 92.6 points. Nevertheless, the CCI today is still above the best result of August 2009 (87.2 points).
The falling inflationary expectations index describes the respondents' attitudes to rising prices. When the index is above 100 points, it means that a majority of people expect inflation to decline.
