Trends in Poles' nutritional habits. 2009 Edition

Are Poles' eating habits changing? Have Poles modified their food purchasing habits as the result of the recession? Are they paying attention to what they eat? What do we Poles understand by healthy nutrition? Are they looking for functional food? What do think of their weight? What do children eat? What are nutritional habits of seniors?

Answers to these and other questions will be provided by the report "Trends in Poles' nutritional habits. 2009 Edition". The goal of this report is to analyse the changes occurring in nutritional habits among adults and children, and in the perception of one's own health and weight. This year's report contains the findings for 2009 plus data from previous surveys conducted in the years 2005 - 2008.

Issues embraced in the report "Trends in Poles' nutritional habits. 2009 Edition" include the following: changes in nutrition, eating out, interest in functional food, usage and perception of pre-prepared ingredients and dishes, consumption of snacks and drinks, habits related to the consumption of meat products, assessment of brands for their healthiness, perception of one's own health and weight, children's nutritional habits, slimming, etc.

This year's edition of the report will contain the analysis of 16 nutritional trends covering usage of low-calorie products, products low in carbohydrates, sugar and salt/sodium, those rich in fibre, wholegrain products, environmentally friendly goods, products with artificial sweeteners, items with Omega 3 acids, as well as probiotic, vegetarian, and soya products, individually wrapped products, and local and natural goods.

The report will also include a consumer segmentation based on the criteria of shopping for food, making meals, and attitude towards health and nutrition. The analysis of each segment is presented together with a consumer profile.
